About ROSIS
Knowledge is Life
Our story
Royals of Shakespeare International School (ROSIS) is a premier private institution established in 2008, offering the Ghana Education Service curriculum. We provide quality basic education for children between the ages of 1 and 16 years within the Tema Metropolis.
At ROSIS, we are committed to excellence through a highly competent management team and a dedicated staff of qualified, experienced and professional graduate teachers. Our school is recognised as a leading destination for quality education, where every child is valued and nurtured.
We believe that every child is unique, and we create a supportive and enabling environment that promotes effective teaching and learning. Our approach ensures that each learner gains new knowledge and skills every day, while developing confidence and curiosity.
Beyond academics, we focus on the holistic development of every child — socially, emotionally, spiritually and physically. We understand that children grow and learn at different paces, and we tailor our teaching methods to help each child reach their full potential.
At ROSIS, we are dedicated to nurturing each child's God-given abilities through positive personal development strategies. Our teaching team undergoes continuous training to stay aligned with modern educational practices and the evolving demands of today's world.
Our school emblem
Our crest is held by an eagle with open wings, and is divided into four quadrants, each carrying a meaning central to life at ROSIS.
The burning flame
We acknowledge the burning flame as the presence of God, and as light for our path. Children are precious gifts from God who need to be refined through fire, by way of spiritual and moral education.
The book
The book symbolises knowledge. A successful person in life must acquire not only academic excellence but also spiritual maturity, acknowledging the supremacy of the Creator. This is the root of our motto: Knowledge is Life.
The cutlass & hoe
Pupils and staff should appreciate that life is full of challenges; we need discipline and hard work for a successful life. Our future is properly shaped when we take our education seriously — there is no shortcut in life.
The pair of scales
As children, we are trained to value honesty and integrity, and to be objective in judgement. We must be balanced, consistent and have conviction in our approach to every endeavour in life, while respecting the opinions of everyone we meet, even where we disagree.
The flying eagle
We must produce fruits that demonstrate our qualities and virtues to the world — character, good values and good conduct.
“Education has opened many, many doors. However, there are still innumerable doors shut tight, yet unopened. These are the doors of the future. We hope one of our children will open one of these doors. We must give him or her the key.”
